A new entertainment space has emerged as the top hangout for young people in Ho Chi Minh City, with shipping containers transformed into booths being one of the venue’s highlights.

Young people from all over the city have begun gathering at Rubik Zoo in District 1 every evening for shopping, taking pictures, enjoying music, and other activities.

Rubik Zoo sprawls over 5,000m² and houses 300 stands built from transformed shipping containers and tarpaulins. A snow foam-shooting system is one of the venue’s most popular features.

It is a semi-eco project that houses a shopping area, a street food section, takeout cafés, an entertainment space, a photo shoot area, a studio, and an outdoor stage.

The traditional Vietnamese and Korean foods sold throughout the venue are a top draw for young people at Rubik Zoo.

“My friends and I come here for shopping, listening to the music, and enjoying coffee in the green space,” Yen Nhi, from Tan Binh District, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper. “The booths made from shipping containers are awesome.”

Vendors wishing to set up shop at Rubik Zoo are welcomed, provided their business leaves no negative impact on the environment.

Drop by this amazing new hangout at 1Bis Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.
