Hanoi has welcomed more than 13.8 million tourists and earned VND39,690 billion (US$1.67 billion) in tourism revenue during the first nine months of 2022.

In particular, it is anticipated that the Vietnamese capital has received 13.1 million domestic tourists and over 766,000 international visitors between January and September, a fourfold increase compared to the same period in 2021.

Notably in September, Hanoi is expected to attract 1.48 million visitors, of which 184,400 will be international visitors and 1.3 million will be domestic tourists.

Taking advantage of and promoting the value of heritage, Hanoi has numerous new tourism products that are popular with both domestic and international tourists, such as visiting Hoa Lo Prison, touring the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long at night, and admiring the French architecture in the heart of the capital city.

In the final three months of the year, Hanoi continues to encourage inspection, guidance, assistance, and the removal of barriers for tourism activities, as well as ensuring tourists' safety.

Adventure tourism products in the suburbs of Hanoi, such as paragliding in Chuong My District and hot-air ballooning in Ba Vi District, are also developed to meet the needs of local and foreign tourists.

Additionally, the city will continue to work on a digital tourist map via a website or application system with a variety of utilities and features to suit the information demands of residents and tourists.

In the near future, the Hanoi Department of Tourism will promote the implementation of tourist-attracting activities such as the Hanoi Golf Week 2022 and Ao Dai Festival 2022.
