Many logistics enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City are eyeing the use of ChatGPT while applying digital transformation and technology to their operations to lower costs.
ChatGPT is a popular artificial intelligence chatbot from OpenAI.
The Ho Chi Minh Logistics Association on Tuesday morning held a meeting on ChatGPT and apps for logistics enterprises.
They discussed how to take advantage of this AI technology to improve their competitiveness and service quality while reducing costs.
The logistics sector has faced multiple challenges, which were forecast to last until 2025, according to enterprises.
The falling exports and imports, along with the rising number of vessels, have sent sea transport costs plunging.
Nguyen Hoai Chung, CEO of international logistics exchange Phaata, predicted a downtrend in the logistics sector will remain for the next two years and the market will not be stable until 2025.
He added that ChatGPT would benefit logistics enterprises, such as serving customers around the clock. It can help respond to hundreds of customers at the same time in various languages, helping enterprises save time.
ChatGPT will help enterprises quickly interact with customers in a short time, said Ngoc, a representative of a logistics company.
However, the chatbot cannot completely replace humans, she affirmed.
Despite acknowledging the benefits of ChatGPT, many companies voiced concerns over its provision of inaccurate information. Therefore, enterprises need to check and assess the information provided.
Chung advised local enterprises to digitalize their data to exploit ChatGPT effectively.
