Vietnam Television’s Animation Center has signed a contract with renowned local children’s writer Nguyen Nhat Anh to adapt one of his recent books, “Co Hai Con Meo Ngoi Ben Cua So” (There Are Two Cats On The Window), to a 10-episode cartoon series.

This is the first time a work by the author will be adapted to an animated work, though many of his books have been turned into movies and TV series.

Under the plan People’s Artist Phuong Hoa, who has made 30 movies and is an experienced painter who has worked on around 50 animated films, will be the director of the series.

“Co Hai Con Meo Ngoi Ben Cua So” tells the love story about two cats named Ao Hoa (Floral Blouse) and Gau (Bear). The book was so well received by local book lovers that it was reprinted three times before it was even released on International Children Day, June 1.
