An exhibition called “The quintessence of Vietnamese Buddhist-themed antiques” will run at Da Nang Museum from today to Sept 16.
The one-month exhibit will showcase some 150 antiques, ranging from paintings, statues, woodblocks of Buddhist prayer books, worshiping wares and musical instruments, which span from the 7th to the early 20th centuries.
The artifacts, most of which come from local pagodas’ collections or private ones, are considered to be of significant historical and aesthetic values.
The features and quintessence of Vietnamese Buddhism will also be introduced at the exhibit.
