The fourth international Science Film Festival is running in Hanoi from Friday to December 15.
The fourth festival, jointly held by Goethe Institut and Center for Research, Support and Development of Culture (A&C) Vietnam, will screen 20 science films from several countries in 10 cities and provinces.
The festival will kick start with screenings for both children and adults at Lomonoxop My Dinh Elementary School on Friday and at Kim Dong Theater on Sunday.
Participants will gain access to the sustainable future technologies through short films, experiments and games at the two screenings.
The festival will go on at high schools in 12 other provinces and cities, including Phu Tho, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Vietnamese edition is part of the international Science Film Festival, which explores the theme of Future Technologies as well as many other fields of contemporary science.
The event takes place internationally from October 13 to December 15 in Cambodia, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Palestinian territories, the Philippines, Sudan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
According to the organizer, the international event received 277 films from 50 countries in 2014 and 78 films from 27 countries have been picked for the official international selection.
