Thursday, October 12, 2017, 11:40 GMT+7

Vietnam will organize the first-ever awards ceremony held to honor films by ASEAN directors.

The 1st ASEAN Film Awards will take place during the 20th annual Vietnam Film Festival, held from November 24 to 28 in the central city of Da Nang.

Following the inaugural awards ceremony, hosting the ASEAN Film Awards will be an honor rotated sequentially between other members of the ten-country bloc.

The event will be themed “Cinematography Connecting the ASEAN Community” as a testament to the best works of regional filmmakers and the inspiration they give newcomers to the seventh art.
