A fire swept through Hai Duong trade center in the northern province of Hai Duong early this morning, burning down 530 stalls on three floors.
There were no immediate reports of human casualties or property damage.
According to initial information, the fire broke out from a clothing stall and spread quickly to other stalls.
“I detected a burning smell at around 3am. I opened my door and saw the fire. It engulfed the second floor” – said a resident living nearby.
According to Tuoi Tre on-the-scene reporter, about 10 fire trucks were deployed to the scene. But as of 10:30am, it still had not been under control.
