Danish man severely injured in Vietnam head-on bike crash

A Danish national and a Vietnamese man were seriously injured after a head-on bike collision in the Vietnamese central province of Quang Nam on Monday, police announced late the same day.

The foreign victim is Tony Kaae, 36, with Danish nationality, while the wounded Vietnamese man is Tran Thai, 60, the Radio Voice of Vietnam said, citing local officers.

Tony is staying in Cam An commune of the province’s Hoi An ancient town, while Thai is a resident in the same commune.   

The two were travelling on opposite directions on a road in the commune on early morning when Tony's bike crashed into Thai's.

The two men suffered heavy injuries and were rushed to the Hoi An City General Hospital for emergency treatment.

The foreigner was returning to his temporary residence when the accident happened, locals said.  

Police have examined the scene for investigating.
