-- Repair works concluded Friday on the 20,000-kilometer-long Asia America Gateway (AAG) underwater cable system connecting Southeast Asia with the U.S. mainland, which earlier this month suffered a power loss that led to sluggish Internet speed to foreign servers from within Vietnam.

-- Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction is looking to raise the nation’s average living floor area from 22.8 square meter per person to 23.4 square meter per person in 2017 by putting more emphasis into government-funded affordable housing projects.

-- The ‘Hawk-Eye’ technology, a complex computer system used to visually track the trajectory of a ball or shuttercock, will for the first time be used in Vietnam at the Robot Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City next month, according to the championships’ chief organizer Nguyen Phuong Nam.
