Police in Hanoi are hunting for a woman who allegedly hired two hitmen to shoot a man four times due to a personal conflict in early 2020.
Tran Thi Xuan Huong, a 46-year-old resident in Long Bien District, is being wanted for attempted murder, officers in Gia Lam District announced on Wednesday morning.
Police investigation showed that a conflict previously broke out between Huong and N.V.M., 38, who resides in Gia Lam District.
Huong then hired Pham Tuan Hai, 35, and To Thanh Hiep, 32, to kill M. for VND300 million (US$12,900).
At around 6:00 pm on January 11, M. was riding his motorbike when he was approached by Hai and Hiep.
The two men shot M. four times and left the scene.

The victim survived after being rushed to the hospital as his injuries were not fatal.
Police launched an investigation into the case and arrested Hiep and Hai on January 15.
They later discovered that Huong was the one who had hired Hai and Hiep to assassinate M. and issued an arrest warrant for the woman on February 7.
As she had already left her place of residence, officers decided to put Huong on their list of wanted individuals on February 17.
Residents are asked to make a report to police if they see Huong.
