-- Experts attending a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday proposed that the city should issue remittance bonds to maintain the remittance growth. Remittances flowing to the metropolis grew an average of 7.6 percent per year over the past five years.
-- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on Monday agreed to assign O Mon 3 and 4 gas-fired power projects in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho to the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), replacing the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) due to the latter’s difficulties in mobilizing and using capital for the projects.
-- Vietnamese distributors, supermarkets, and wholesale markets have concluded 35 memoranda of understanding with northern Bac Giang Province to help consume over 100,000 metric tons of litchi. The province’s litchi output is estimated at 180,000 metric tons this year.
