-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held talks with his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio in Tokyo on Saturday, as part of his trip to attend the Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation and take part in bilateral activities in the East Asian country.

-- Police in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City said on Saturday that they were keeping four 14-year-olds in temporary custody as the teenagers allegedly committed thefts at two local convenience stores on Thursday and Friday.

-- A fisherman from Quang Ngai Province in central Vietnam detected an object which looks like an unmanned aerial vehicle with foreign language words on its body grounding on the coast of the province on Friday, local border guards reported on Saturday.

-- Police in Ha Nam Province, northern Vietnam on Saturday arrested a 23-year-old man who slammed his car into two traffic police officers, thus injuring them, after the traffic policemen asked him to stop for a breath alcohol test on Friday.

-- During 77 live streams to sell products at Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City on TikTok between Monday and Friday, there were over 18,200 orders, fetching total revenue of VND4.2 billion (US$173,100), according to TikTok. Ben Thanh Market is the first traditional marketplace in Vietnam to trial the promotion and trade of commodities through live streams on the short video-sharing platform.
