The administration in Quang Nam Province, central Vietnam has announced a special tourism promotion program titled ‘Quang Nam – Green Heritage,’ with a ‘Hoi An in flod season’ tour as its highlight, with the aim of further attracting domestic and international visitors.
More than 100 tourism firms joining the program, introduced at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, will offer special incentives to travelers, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
Accordingly, visitors to Quang Nam from early May to the end of November will have opportunities to enjoy tours with preferential prices and services, including special combo packages including room rates, foods, destinations, and means of transport, with a discount of up to 80 percent for specific services during ‘golden hours.’

Incentive services for visitors will also include ‘buy one get one free,’ airport pick-up, transport service from accommodation to the ancient town of Hoi An, and motorbike renting at affordable prices, among others.
Most prominent in this year’s program is the ‘Hoi An in flood season’ tour, a unique tour that has been launched for the first time in Quang Nam to help lure more visitors to Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the department said.
This special tour will give tourists experiences of sightseeing in the ancient town and reaching different destinations by boat, instead of other means of transport, on high-water days.
The tourism sector will also introduce many other attractive tours, such as exploring villages of Co Tu and Ca Dong ethnic minority people, or conquering Que Mountain peak in Tay Giang District.
In addition to exploring Hoi An Ancient Town, visitors have the option to participate in tours that offer views of ripening rice fields during the harvest season, traversing village roads across various areas within the province on motorbikes or bicycles.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage in hand-harvesting rice, discover the art of mat weaving, wine production, pig husbandry, bird's nest cultivation, rice paper crafting, carpentry, and various other activities.
They will have a chance to enjoy new rice celebration festivals conducted by Xe Dang and Ca Dong ethnic monitory people, in which they show their gratitude to heaven and earth for giving them good weather and bumper crops.
Travelers may also take a tour to contemplate spectacular terraced rice fields in many highland areas in Quang Nam.
Among many other attractive tourist products is a terracotta art camp, where visitors can unleash their creativity on making things of terracotta.

During the press conference, many tourism businesses in Quang Nam vowed to maintain stable service prices throughout this year's holidays and the 2025 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
However, they voiced apprehension regarding the soaring prices of domestic air tickets.
Steven Wolstenholme, president and CEO at Hoiana Resort & Golf in Quang Nam’s Duy Xuyen District, warned that the tourism industry may face difficulties in the coming time because of increased domestic air transport costs.
"In previous years, we enjoyed nearly full occupancy during holidays such as Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers' Day (May 1), but currently the occupancy rate is about 60 percent of that in 2023," Wolstenholme said.
He remarked that the recent introduction of railway-based tours offers a new alternative to compensate for the decrease in air travelers.
