Asia Park, an amusement complex located in Da Nang City, central Vietnam, will be rebranded as Da Nang Downtown, with plans in the offing to offer a slew of world-class art shows as part of a bid to boost tourism growth along the Han River, an iconic landmark in the coastal city.
The rebranding will take effect from next month and all visitors to the park will be given free admission, Phung Pham Thanh Thuy, director of the park, said on Wednesday.
Da Nang Downtown, which is adjacent to the Han River in Hai Chau District, is poised to become a destination for shopping and recreation in downtown Da Nang.
Its night market will feature 200 food stalls offering a wide variety of Asian and European cuisines, local food specialties, souvenirs, handmade items, and exciting street shows.

Aside from its existing entertainment facilities, like Sun Wheel – one of the world’s top 10 tallest Ferris Wheels – and mini architectural works and artworks symbolizing a number of Asian countries, the amusement park has scheduled world-class art shows.
The park will also launch a jetski and flyboard show along with water, light, and music events beginning in mid-June.
Da Nang Downtown organizers are also set to host traditional art shows, including puppet shows, in a newly-built theater which can accommodate up to 600 guests.
To mark the rebranding, Da Nang Downtown will host circus and magic performances with some of the world’s top artists, including comedy magician Maestro Voronin, magician Maxim Voronin, and hand balancer Oleg Izossimov.
