The management of Da Nang International Airport in the namesake city in central Vietnam on Sunday confirmed the sudden death of an Australian tourist at the airport.

The tourist, identified as Roger F. B., 75, was conducting procedures for a flight from Da Nang City to Singapore on Saturday afternoon when the passenger passed out.

He was quickly given first aid and had his health checked by medical workers at the airport, but he passed away shortly afterward.

His death may have been linked to a stroke.

Roger F. B. and his wife, a Singaporean national, entered Da Nang on July 13 for tourism purposes.

Police officers and relevant units are completing procedures related to the sudden death of the Australian visitor.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, Da Nang International Airport welcomes up to 150 flights each day.

The services provided at the terminals of the airport meet the highest international standards.

Typically, the airport is equipped with medical equipment for emergencies for passengers who feel ill.
