Firefighter taken to hospital after battling bar fire in Hanoi

One firefighter was rushed to hospital for smoke inhalation after joining his coworkers to knock down a massive fire at a bar in downtown Hanoi on Friday evening.
He is now in stable condition, the municipal police agency confirmed on Saturday morning.
The blaze broke out at around 6:30 pm at the Star 3 bar on Pho Duc Chinh Street in Ba Dinh District.
Dozens of firefighters and at least 11 fire trucks were sent to the scene where the massive fire rapidly swept through the whole two-story bar and caused the building to collapse.
As the bar is temporarily closed for renovation, no one was stuck inside the facility at the time of the blaze.
The firefighting operation concluded at 11:00 pm the same day, with no casualties reported.
The cause of the bar fire is under investigation.
