Heavy rains and powerful winds battered Bien Hoa City in Dong Nai Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, on Saturday, uprooting several trees that crashed into some motorcycles and hospital rooms.
Designated forces and sanitation workers were still clearing a fallen tree on a street in Bien Hoa on Saturday night.
Heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, lashed the center of the city at around 2:00 pm on the same day.
A 20-meter-tall tree on Nguyen Ai Quoc Street in Tan Phong Ward came down in strong winds, blocking a sidewalk and crashing into some motorcycles.
Besides, a series of trees at 7B Military Hospital in Tan Tien Ward were uprooted by high winds, crashing into a row of rooms in the hospital.

The falling trees caused significant damage to several hospital walls but there were no casualties reported in the incident, caused by the heavy downpour and strong winds.
Nguyen Phuoc Huy, director at the Dong Nai Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that Bien Hoa City and Cam My District experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday.
Satellite images showed that convective clouds were developing, bringing rain and thunderstorms to many parts of the province.
The convective cloud system was forecast to expand and move southwestward.
