A video of a car with what appears to be a motorcycle wheel driving on a road in Ca Mau has made headlines across Vietnam.
The 20-second video was uploaded to a Facebook page with more than 360,000 followers on Wednesday.
It has since attracted thousands of reactions and comments, with many netizens voicing concerns.
Duy, a local resident who recorded the video, said he filmed it on Monday in Dam Doi District, Ca Mau Province and chose to publish the footage in order to warn people of the dangers of putting motorcycle wheels on cars.
Nguyen Thanh Bang, chief of the office of the Ca Mau Traffic Safety Board, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the board had sent the video to the traffic police unit in Dam Doi District for investigation.
They plan to publish the results of the investigation once they are available.
If the case is determined to have occurred in Dam Doi, the board will ask local authorities to file charges against the car owner, Bang said.
