-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking delegation will visit Laos and co-chair the 47th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committee from January 9 to 10 at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, the Vietnam News Agency reported, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

-- The administration in Ho Chi Minh City has established a steering committee for rearranging the city’s apparatus led by chairman Phan Van Mai.

-- Police in north-central Thanh Hoa Province said on Monday that they had coordinated with relevant agencies to arrest six suspects who stole some 250 dogs weighing nearly four metric tons from December 2024.
