The LienVietPostBank Women's Volleyball Tournament 2022 is going to be held in Bac Ninh Province, northern Vietnam, with the participation of the top eight women's volleyball teams in the country, after being suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tournament is organized annually by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation in cooperation with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Bac Ninh Province, but it bears the name of LienVietPostBank for sponsorship reasons.

The tourney will take place from October 15 to October 22 at the Bac Ninh Gymnasium.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Bac Ninh has announced that spectators will be allowed to attend the tournament for free in order to support the competing teams.

The championship will be contested by eight of the country's top teams, including LienVietPostBank, Ha Phu Thanh Hoa, Hoa Chat Duc Giang Hanoi, Kinh Bac Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh Doveco, Than Quang Ninh, VietinBank, and VTV Binh Dien Long An.

The teams are divided into two groups and will compete in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next round.

The total value of the tournament's prizes is US$40,000, with the winner receiving $15,000.

Additionally, the organizers will award seven individual prizes with a combined value of $2,000.

The LienVietPostBank Women's Volleyball Tournament is an important preparation for the teams prior to their participation in the 9th National Sports Festival in December.

The matches will be broadcast live on the VTVCab channel.

In 2022, Vietnamese volleyball teams have participated in many international tournaments, including the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

At the 31st SEA Games, Vietnamese volleyball won two silver medals.

The national women's volleyball team recently finished fourth at the 2022 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup in the Philippines.
