Myanmar do not have anything to fear about the Vietnamese opponent, coach Park Sung Hwa told reporters ahead of their Group A opening match of the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup this Saturday in Thailand. “Vietnam is a good team, and is considered better than Myanmar. But we don’t have to worry about it,” the Korean coach said. He added that Myanmar have no choice but to defeat Vietnam and Thailand to achieve the target of advancing into the semifinal. “It’s not easy but we are well-prepared for that.” The team arrived in Thailand on Wednesday and had their first practice session for the opener, while their Vietnamese opponent also finished two strategic practices on the same day. Vietnam’s coach Phan Thanh Hung requested that no international reporters be allowed to enter the pitch while the team was practicing. The team doctor said most of the injured players have rapidly recovered and will be fully ready for the Saturday match. The Group B opener will take place on Sunday between Indonesia and Laos in Malaysia. The 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup is co-hosted by Thailand and Malaysia and runs from November 24 to December 22.
