Vietnam’s top-flight V-League 1 football club Hoang Anh Gia Lai today terminated the contracts with two foreign players -- Swedish striker Lukanovic Darko and Slovenian central defender Mitja Morec.
Lukanovic failed to impress French coach Guillaume Graechen during the last two opening games of the league, except an only goal that was judged a lucky situation in the match with Dong Tam Long An last week.
Coach Graechen admitted that the Swedish was injured months ago and has yet fully recovered his form and fitness.
The Slovenian defender Morec was diagnosed to have abnormal heart rates especially when the weather changes, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Institute.
They are replaced by twonew recruits: midfielder Zdravko, 29, from Montenegro; and central defender Cosmin from Romania, who played for SHB Da Nang in 2013 and Sanna Khanh Hoa last year.
The new players had their first training with HAGL teammates today in Pleiku Stadium.
