LaLiga Academy Vietnam, established in late 2021, is conducting a Vietnamese coach training program, including football IQ, in alignment with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) previously signed between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and LaLiga, Spain’s top men’s professional football league.
The advanced training course, titled 'The LaLiga Method,' began on Wednesday at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi and is set to last until Friday.
Over 40 coaches from Vietnamese youth football clubs and women’s teams are in attendance.
Facilitated by Tito Burrell, technical director of LaLiga Academy Vietnam, and Saul Vazquez Chas, a senior expert in the LaLiga football development project, the course aims to enhance players’ skills and football IQ by focusing on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.
Grounded in extensive research on the similarities between Vietnamese and Spanish players, the LaLiga Method is a comprehensive approach designed to elevate coaching standards.
The VFF anticipates that this training initiative will contribute to establishing a sophisticated academic foundation for Vietnam.
Moreover, it is expected to empower the attending coaches, fostering a paradigm shift in their perspectives, coaching techniques, and developmental strategies for youth football clubs.
Last September, the VFF inked an MoU with LaLiga to familiarize training coaches and players with the Spanish style of play until 2026.
