The administration of Tuy Phuoc District in Binh Dinh Province, south-central Vietnam held a press conference on Friday afternoon to announce details about the Con Chim Half Marathon 2025, which is scheduled for August 2-3.
Organized to commemorate 50 years since the liberation of Tuy Phuoc and Vietnam’s reunification, the first-ever half-marathon event in the district will welcome nearly 2,000 runners across five race categories, said Nguyen Hung Tan, vice-chairman of the Tuy Phuoc People’s Committee.
Adults will compete in the three distances of 5km, 10km, and 20km, while the remaining two categories for children include 600m and 1.2km races.
The course will start and finish at the Cho Dinh residential area in Phuoc Son Commune, offering a unique blend of rural landscapes and waterfront views, promising a memorable experience for all participants.
Besides the race, runners can enjoy Binh Dinh’s authentic cuisine and experience the charm of local culture.
To avoid online scams, organizers urged participants to register only through the official website (https://conchimmarathon.stopandsports.com) or email (conchimmarathon@gmail.com).
Tan warned against fraudulent activities, noting that some scammers might attempt to lure participants into providing personal information or joining fake Zalo groups.
"If you encounter such activities, please stop immediately and report them to authorities to prevent being scammed," he emphasized.
