Have a look at a ‘handmade’ house in Ho Chi Minh City

Based in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, photos of a 36-meter-square house have gone viral on social media recently because of its unique architectural style.
The house owners, Phung Le Lan Thanh and her husband, built the house from a blueprint that they designed by themselves ten years ago.
They wanted to create a unique space for their family with a design like no other.
The house was finished in August 2017 after three years of construction.
They spent only about six months building the house but it took them more than two years to decorate it and set up the furniture.
They decided to use white paint to coat everything from the walls to the furniture and other interiors.
According to Thanh, white brings cozy air to each family member and highlights crafts in the house.
The couple encountered a lot of difficulties in preparing furniture for the house because of its small lot size.
They spent nearly two years completing the task.
“The new house has nurtured my passion for crafts," said Thanh.
"It will be a showroom displaying handmade products and a meeting point for people who share a love of handmade stuff."
The couple prepared all the furniture by themselves to meet their own requirements for a special decorating style at a cost of below VND1 billion (US$43,524).
“Many groups of workers turned down our request because my house is too small while everything we asked for required a prominent level of estheticism,” recalled Thanh.
“Despite us setting out exact measurements in the blueprint, it was still quite difficult for them to do as nobody had ever done something like that before.
“If my house was bigger, there would have been a model for that."
The owners utilize the main spaces of the living room and office to display handmade items and materials that the wife has collected for the past ten years.
According to the house owners, although the decoration in their house seems to be trivial and complicated, it is still easy for them to maintain and clean up.
