Amanoi partners with GreenViet to protect endangered wildlife in Nui Chua National Park

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Amanoi is partnering with GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center to support the protection of endangered animal species in Nui Chua National Park.

In the heart of Nui Chua National Park, Amanoi resonates with the vibrant living palette of its natural tapestry, celebrating the region's unparalleled biodiversity through a special mooncake collection.

Each delicately crafted box not only embodies the essence of Nui Chua's flora and fauna but also serves a purpose: all profits will be donated to GreenViet for wildlife research and protection.

This contribution aims to enhance and safeguard the precious habitats within the park, ensuring that its wildlife thrives amidst the untouched landscapes.

To raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and the need for preservation, Amanoi has chosen six symbolic animals of land and sea to feature in their mooncake box this year.

These animals, which include the black-shanked douc langur, white-crested laughingthrush, chevrotain representing terrestrial species, and the green sea turtle, blue whale, and coral representing marine species, symbolize the unique and fragile wildlife of Nui Chua.

By highlighting these species, the resort aims to draw attention to the critical conservation efforts needed to protect wildlife in the region.

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, from September 14 to 18, Amanoi Resort has designed a special program of activities for families to reunite, offering memorable experiences for all ages.

Guests can enjoy lantern-making workshops, painting and pottery classes, trekking adventures in the national park, bay cruises, and special culinary events including a beachside BBQ dinner, a Countryside Market buffet, and a unique Cham cuisine dinner.

Moreover, resort guests will receive a box of mooncakes during their stay to celebrate the festival.

"Our partnership with GreenViet underscores Amanoi's commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation,” said Joy Arpornrat Kuekthong, general manager of Amanoi.

“By supporting wildlife research and protection, we aim to preserve the natural beauty and biodiversity of Nui Chua National Park for future generations.”

A distinct array of plant and animal life at Nui Chua

Situated in Ninh Thuan Province, south-central Vietnam, Nui Chua National Park is a testament to the country's natural beauty and ecological wealth.

Covering an area of over 29,000 hectares, it is celebrated for its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems.

Recognized by UNESCO as a part of a Global Biosphere Reserve in 2021, Nui Chua is a mosaic of dry forests, coastal dunes, rocky outcrops, and vibrant coral reefs.

The terrestrial portion of Nui Chua is characterized by its arid, semi-desert climate, which has given rise to a distinct array of plant and animal life.

The park is home to over 1,500 plant species, including many rare and endemic species adapted to the harsh conditions.

Its fauna is equally diverse, with over 300 vertebrate species recorded, including several endangered species such as the black-shanked douc langur and the green sea turtle.

The park’s rugged terrain and pristine environments offer a serene and untouched wilderness, providing a haven for wildlife and a tranquil escape for nature lovers.

In the marine realm, Nui Chua’s coral reefs are a vibrant underwater paradise, teeming with life.

These reefs host over 300 species of coral and hundreds of species of fish, molluscs, and other marine organisms.

The clear waters and abundant marine life make it a popular destination for diving and snorkeling, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary underwater biodiversity.
