Brocade ao dai to compete at Miss Universe

22-year-old Luu Thi Diem Huong, Miss World Vietnam 2010, is in Las Vegas to represent Vietnam at this year’s Miss Universe contest.

At the national costume round to take place on December 14, the 1.74-meter beauty will wear an ao dai designed by Thuan Viet. The dress is made from natural silk and decorated with brocade patterns.

In 2010, Diem Huong represented Vietnam at the Miss Earth competition held in Nha Trang and won the Best in Swimwear contest and entered the Top 14 at the contest. One year later, in February, she was voted by Global Beauties online magazine as one of the three most beautiful Asian women.

Founded in 1952 in California, Miss Universe is an annual international beauty contest that is run by the Miss Universe Organization. This year, it has attracted around 90 beauties from over the world. The final night is scheduled to be held on December 20.
