VND5.5 billion (US$259,434) is to be spent on the 2013 Hanoi and Hong River Delta Traditional Craft Tourism Festival, heard a meeting on Sept 10.
The festival, to run at Quan Ngua Stadium in Hanoi from Oct 9 to 12, will feature some 250-300 stalls. The exhibition space will simulate the craft streets in Hanoi and craft villages in the vicinity.
According to the organizer, there’ll also be a section for tour providers and airliners as well as another section showcasing the cuisine delights from Hanoi and its neighboring provinces.
The festival will also see the seasoned artisans demonstrating their skills in making craft items, along with a seminar on how to develop and promote tourism linked to Hanoi’s traditional craft villages and streets.
