Ball point-pen paintings showcased at HCMC exhibit

The exhibit called “Day and Night” which showcases ingenious ball point pen paintings by local architect Nguyen Van Thuan is running in Ho Chi Minh City from now to Sept 22.

The exhibit, running at HCMC Fine Arts Association, 218A Pasteur, district 3, features Thuan’s paintings which come in a wide variety of materials including synthetic materials, oil and iron pens.

However, the audiences are most impressed with his                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               ballpoint-pen paintings which vividly portray the world’s noted personalities such as philosopher Socrates, scientist A.Einstein amd composer L.V.Beethoven.

Though an architect, Thuan has joined Mekong Art Club and held several individual and group art exhibits.
