HCMC ready for Halloween

Do you have a plan for Halloween? Below, Tuoitrenews lists some exciting events that celebrate the spooky holiday, all on October 31.

The Halloween party at the Rock Fan Club (RFC) bar, a venue familiar to local rock fans, will feature performances of 3 local bands and 10 singers. The event will also have games with prizes starting at 8pm. RFC is located at 25C Tu Xuong Street in District 3.

Another famous rock bar, Yoko, will celebrate Halloween night with performances by well-known bands Microwave and White Noise. Prizes for the best costume will be given, Yoko will also help customers look the part with complimentary Halloween makeup. The event will kick off at 7:30pm at 22A Nguyen Thi Dieu Street in District 3. Tickets cost VND90,000 (US$4.25) and include food and soft drinks or beer.

An event titled “Halloween Party - Haunted House Party” will be held from 8:30pm at 42 10th Street in District 2’s Thao Dien. The festival will have 13 Djs,  4 separate party areas, a haunted house tour, and many games. Attendees with the best costumes will receive prizes. Tickets cost VND250,000 ( US$11.79) at the door, VND 200,000 (US$9.43) in advance, and VND150,000 (US$7.08) for students with ID.

Fuse Sai Gon will celebrate with a three-night party called “Carnival of Madness” starting from 9pm. The bar, at 138 Le Lai Street, will be decorated as a spooky circus until November 2, promising to please locals.

Legend Saigon Hotel will join the celebration with a buffet in a macabre atmosphere. Free drinks will be served during the event. Tickets cost from VND1,050,000 (US$49.5) for adults; children from 4 to 12 will get a 50% discount. The hotel is at 2A – 4A Ton Duc Thang Street in District 1.

In addition, cinemas around the city are screening numerous horror blockbusters, including “Insidious Chapter 2” and “The Conjuring,” promising a spooky Halloween in town.
