The Vietnamese delegation, led by Le Quoc Phong, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, is set to take part in a series of activities, including conferences and seminars, exhibitions, sales booths, friendly exchanges, sports competitions, and artistic performances.

The festival will provide an opportunity for the Southeast Asian country to promote its culture, people, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, as well as to tighten its friendly relationships with other countries.

Speaking at the opening of the festival at the Bolshoy Ice Dome, located inside the Sochi Olympic Park, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that young people of all countries, nationalities and faiths are united by common feelings and values, by their yearning for freedom, and their hope to achieve happiness, peace and accord on the planet.

The energy and talent of young adults harbor astonishing power, Putin said, adding that younger generations always bring innovative ideas to the world.
