-- Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the government’s monthly meeting in Hanoi on Saturday, during which he requested policy response be made in a more timely, precise, and effective manner, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

-- Nalgae entered the East Vietnam Sea early on Sunday morning, becoming the seventh storm to hit Vietnam this year, the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting reported, adding that the storm’s wind speed will reach its highest level in the next two days.

-- Police confirmed on Saturday they had detained seven more people involved in the fatal shooting at a house on Phu Quoc Island off southern Kien Giang Province, raising the total number of arrested suspects to 36.

-- Vietnam’s newly-registered capital, adjusted capital, and capital contribution and share purchase stood at $22.46 billion in the first 10 months of 2022, down 5.4 percent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency quoted the Ministry of Planning and Investment as saying.

-- More than 2.35 million international visitors arrived in Vietnam during the January-October period of this year, up 19 times year on year, according to the General Statistics Office.
