-- A 55-year-old woman in north-central Ha Tinh Province has reunited with her family after losing complete contact and staying in China for 39 years, a local official said on Thursday night.

-- Police in Da Lat, the capital city of Lam Dong Province in the Central Highlands region, on Thursday initated legal proceedings against a 37-year-old man hailing from northern Thai Binh Province for physically abusing his ten-year-old son by undressing the child, tying a harness around the child’s neck, walking him around, and forcing him to bark like a dog. The man has been kept in custody for a week.
