-- Authorities in Vietnam's Central Highlands province of Lam Dong have rejected a project to develop two seven-story basement parking garages beneath Cu Hill in Da Lat, a well-known tourist city in the province, Le Quang Trung, director of the provincial Department of Construction, said on Saturday.

-- Vietnamese fashion designer Phuong Ho on Saturday evening introduced a 200-kilogram ao dai (Vietnamese traditional costume) whose back flap is 178 meters long with an aim to set a Guinness Vietnam Record for the longest ao dai in Vietnam.

-- Officials and residents in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday planted nearly 600 flowering trees and hung 300 moss-rose pots along a five-kilometer railway section passing through the district.
