Police in Tien Giang Province, southern Vietnam on Saturday blocked the Rach Mieu Bridge, which spans over the Tien River and links Tien Giang with neighboring Ben Tre Province, to capture 31 armed men who were returning to Ben Tre after a fight, a local police official confirmed the same day.
The blockade was imposed at around 1:15 am when it was raining.
Many of the suspects rushed out of their cars to run away but police officers managed to catch all of them.
Searching the five four-seater cars and one seven-seater used by these 31, aged 25-35, police discovered and confiscated many guns, knives, and tear gas canisters.
The gangsters confessed that they had used the weapons for a battle, but were arrested by police officers when they were en route to Ben Tre, according to a police report.
