Traffic police officers save woman suffering stroke in southern Vietnam

Traffic police officers in An Giang Province, southern Vietnam on Monday promptly rushed a woman lying unconscious on a sidewalk due to a stroke to hospital, saving her life.

A leader of the Medical Center in Chau Phu District, An Giang said on Monday that the center had successfully saved the woman, Do Thi Anh Hong, a 55-year-old resident of the district, as traffic police officers had taken her to the center in time. 

They found her on a National Highway 91 section in Chau Phu District and used a police car to take her to the medical center at 12:50 pm.

She suffered a stroke, with symptoms such as difficultly speaking and her mouth drooping on one side. 

Without prompt treatment, Hong’s life would have been threatened, the hospital’s leader added.

Following the first aid, she was transferred to Chau Doc Regional General Hospital in Chau Doc City, An Giang for further treatment.
