-- A one-minute and 30-second video has gone viral on social media in Vietnam, showing a girl clinging to the hood of a moving car, shouting for help, and begging the driver to stop. The incident occurred on Dong Ho Street in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City early on Thursday, a traffic police officer told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
-- Locals in Viet Tri City, northern Phu Tho Province discovered a wartime bomb near Viet Tri Port on Wednesday afternoon. The bomb was estimated to weigh some 250 kilograms and measure 1.5 meters in length.
-- Scorching weather conditions are forecast to sweep through the central region on Friday with temperatures possibly climbing to 37 degrees Celsius, while many localities in southern Vietnam might experience showers and thunderstorms late in the afternoon, according to the national weather center.

-- Hurricane Ernesto on Thursday barreled toward Bermuda where it threatened powerful winds, a dangerous storm surge and heavy rains over the weekend after leaving hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans without power in its wake. Ernesto is forecast to strengthen into a much more powerful hurricane before it reaches Bermuda late on Friday, reported Reuters.
