-- The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony in Hanoi on Tuesday to see off Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 6 and Engineering Unit Rotation 3 to carry out United Nations peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and the Abyei area.

-- Air Zermatt, a Swiss mountain helicopter service provider, announced on its homepage on Tuesday that its rescue team successfully saved two Vietnamese climbers stranded on the Matterhorn. The climbers were rescued after a 14-hour operation at over 3,500 meters, where they had fallen into a life-threatening situation.
-- Tri An Hydropower Plant in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam opened two additional water discharge gates on Tuesday, increasing water discharge through the large spillway to the downstream of the Dong Nai River by three times, according to director Vo Tan Nhan.
-- The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee has directed the cancelation of all fireworks displays planned for 30 districts and towns in the city to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954–2024), in order to focus on addressing the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.
-- Ho Chi Minh City is deliberating on the construction of a parking system for firefighting aircraft as part of its planning for fire prevention and rescue infrastructure from 2021 to 2030, with a vision extending to 2050.

-- According to a government report, from 2015 to 2023, the average added value of the real estate sector reached over VND103.95 trillion (US$4.22 billion) per year, accounting for approximately 1.37 percent of the country’s gross domestic product.
-- Enterprises and associations from eight industries, including investment, trade, and logistics, took part in a signing ceremony at a conference in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday to boost cooperation and trade between Chongqing City, China, and Vietnam’s southern hub via the New Land-Sea Trade Corridor. According to Xinhua News Agency, this corridor, a key trade and logistics route centered on Chongqing, was connected to 190 ports in 90 countries as of September 2019.
