-- On Thursday, many people in Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam were excited to capture photos of a giant cloud resembling a flying saucer that appeared over the peak of Chua Chan Mountain.

-- A guest reported finding a snail crawling on a plate of fresh vegetables served at a meal in the four-star N.L. Hotel in Da Lat, along with spoiled fruit and tainted meat. On Thursday, the Da Lat People's Committee established an interagency team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the hotel’s lodging and restaurant services.

-- The new pedestrian bridges connected to metro line No. 1 will greatly improve convenience for commuters in Ho Chi Minh City. Finishing all nine bridges marks a key milestone as the city prepares for the metro line’s official launch in December. A representative from the municipal urban railway management board told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that construction on all nine pedestrian bridges linking to stations on the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line has been completed as of Thursday.

-- At the beginning of November, two cold fronts are expected to impact northern Vietnam, including the strongest northeast monsoon of the season so far, bringing chilly weather to the region.

-- Vietnam'a exports of rice, coffee, and fruits have reached record highs, along with the recovery in seafood and forestry products, bringing the agriculture sector nearly US$52 billion in January-October, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

-- The new Vietnam Military History Museum in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi officially opens to the public and visitors on Friday, with free admission until the end of 2024, according to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, head of the museum's public relations and education department.

-- "North Korea flexed its military muscle with the test of a huge new solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile dubbed Hwasong-19, state media said on Friday, amid international uproar over its troops deployed to aid Russia in Ukraine," Reuters reported.
