-- Vietnam’s State President Luong Cuong, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, visited and laid a wreath at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in a park named after the late Vietnamese leader in Santiago on Sunday morning (local time), as part of their official visit to Chile.

-- On Sunday night and early Monday morning, typhoon Yinxing, the seventh to hit the East Vietnam Sea this year, continued to weaken rapidly, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. By 4:00 am on Monday, the eye of the storm was located north of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago, with winds reaching 62-74kph. The storm is forecast to move southwest toward the mid-central coast later on Monday, weakening into a tropical depression over the sea between Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh Provinces.

-- Meanwhile, typhoon Toraji, which was located in the sea east of Luzon Island in the Philippines as of 1:00 am on Monday, continues to strengthen with winds of 118-133kph and is expected to enter the East Vietnam Sea on Monday night, becoming the eighth storm on the sea this year.

-- The main cause of air pollution in Hanoi is a combination of traffic emissions, industrial activities, and construction dust, with a significant contribution from the large number of vehicles using fossil fuels and inadequate pollution control measures in construction projects, according to Nguyen Hoang Anh, deputy head of the environmental quality management unit at the Pollution Control Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
