Heavy rain caused widespread flooding, submerging many roads in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province, southern Vietnam on Friday afternoon.
Around 4:00 pm on Friday, a sudden downpour hit Bien Hoa City and surrounding areas in Dong Nai Province.
Within moments, several major roads in Bien Hoa, including Dong Khoi, Pham Van Thuan, Tran Quoc Toan, and National Highway 1, were severely flooded.

Notably, the Trang Dai intersection on Dong Khoi Street was submerged by more than half a meter of water, with fast-moving currents causing several vehicles to stall.
This area has become the focal point of flooding in Bien Hoa, as water overflowed from alleys, submerging both the road surface and sidewalks.

Additionally, the National Highway 1 near Dong Nai Children’s Hospital also experienced significant flooding.
This area is prone to deep water accumulation during heavy rains, given its low-lying location.
The flooding led to widespread traffic congestion, with many motorists forced to stop and wait for the water to recede before proceeding through the flooded sections.
According to the Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station, the province received heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on Friday afternoon, with Bien Hoa recording up to 79mm of rain.
Tri An Lake in Vinh Cuu District received 61mm, and Long Thanh District saw 34mm.
The Dong Nai Hydrometeorological Station has issued a warning that flooding could continue in low-lying areas.
Residents are advised to take precautions against potential flooding, especially in areas with inadequate or ongoing drainage system construction and repairs.
