Canada and France took turns to compete in the second display of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 in the namesake Vietnamese city on Saturday night.
Two pyrotechnic teams from the two countries performed colorful and mesmerizing pyrotechnic shows amid the admiration of residents and tourists in Da Nang.
The Canadian team began the second competition, themed 'Love without Border,' with its explosive fireworks performance, which lit up the sky of Da Nang.
With 14 Canadian electronic music tracks, the team’s performance, under the theme 'Aurora,' created light strips depicting stunning natural phenomena in the sky.
Alain Bouthillier from the Canadian pyrotechnic team said gathering in Da Nang at the international fireworks festival helps bring the world closer after people had to stay home for a long time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“DIFF brings us closer together and helps Canada and Vietnam get closer. Our fireworks performance is to celebrate the fact that we are not distant anymore,” Bouthillier added.

“We want our performance to be professional, spread people’s emotions, and touch the hearts of the audience,” said Edouard Gregoire, a representative from the French pyrotechnic team.
The Arteventia team has won many big prizes at fireworks competitions in the U.S., Poland, and Belgium.
