The sixth edition of the Andros The Race Lakes charity running program, held in the urban area of the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, saw approximately 3,000 participants, including nearly 600 orphans.
Andros The Race Lakes, aimed at raising funds for orphans, attracted participants of various age groups and nationalities.
The run included distances of 25, 15, and five kilometers for adults, and two kilometers and 600 meters for children.

Orphans taking part in the event were provided with T-shirts, shoes, socks, and BIB boards at no charge.
The organizer awarded the ticket revenue from the running event to orphanages after deducting costs.
Nguyen Quynh Trang, a representative of the organizer, stated that their goal is to provide opportunities for orphans to engage in social activities, enhancing their confidence and independence, and ultimately transforming their lives.
Trang added that the organizer also selected children with good results to support them in further developing their abilities.

Pham Minh Kiet, 13, a resident of the Maison Chance center in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his happiness at meeting many new friends.
He shared that he ran four to five kilometers during each practice session to prepare for the run, noting that it was a valuable opportunity to improve his health, become more active, and connect with others.
