A summer festival, titled ‘Quy Nhon - Sea Paradise - Brightness for Growth,’ kicked off at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square in Quy Nhon, the capital city of Binh Dinh, on Saturday night, with a stunning high-altitude fireworks show attracting thousands of locals and tourists.
The high-altitude fireworks were set off for the first time in the south-central province, sparkling in the night sky over the city, as well as amazing revelers.
“I did enjoy the fireworks show. It was glorious when the fireworks exploded,” Nguyen Gia Huy, a 22-year-old resident of Quy Nhon, expressed his excitement.
“I thought that all onlookers were exhilarated to see the pyrotechnic show,” he added.
The 15-minute fireworks display was part of the opening ceremony of the festival, which featured a series of music performances lighting up the stage. The fest is set to last until August.
This summer, the province was set to treat locals and visitors to a wide array of music, cultural, and sports events.
Among them are the ongoing Teqball World Series in Quy Nhon, scheduled to wrap up on Sunday, a marathon event in late June, and a tourism, movie, and sports fest.
