The ‘Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City’ festival kicked off on Friday evening at Nguyen Hue Walking Street in District 1, marking the beginning of a three-day cultural event designed to showcase Hanoi as a vibrant political and administrative center with rich cultural and traditional values.
Titled ‘Hanoi’s Marks,’ the event is a key part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – 2024).

Speaking at Friday’s opening ceremony, Vu Thu Ha, deputy chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, explained that the event aims to enhance Hanoi’s image and strengthen the connection between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the two largest cities in Vietnam.
Additionally, the event contributes to the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – 2025).

As part of the festival, which runs until Sunday evening, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, located on Ly Tu Trong Street in District 1, is showcasing a range of valuable artifacts, including national treasures.
In addition, over 30 food stalls offering traditional dishes that reflect the rustic lifestyle of Hanoi residents are set up along Nguyen Hue Walking Street.
