Tao Dan Park in Ho Chi Minh City will soon be lit up by a new lighting system which is sure to attract locals and tourists alike to the downtown park.
The city is currently considering the upgrade of the ornamental lighting systems at local parks to ensure their technical infrastructure meets modern urban standards.
Tao Dan Park’s new lights will help highlight its landscape at night and make the park more attractive.
The new lighting system features new-generation, energy-efficient LED lights, according to a lighting design for the park.

Specifically, the tree garden includes:
+ 69 sets of 10-20W ornamental lights with a warm white color of 3,000K
+ 420-meter 7W/m - 13W/m LED strips with a warm white color of 3,000K
The lawn and alley area includes:
+ 40 lights with a capacity of 20-30W and a white color of 2,500-3,000K.
+ 10 Ø380mm decorative spherical lights with a warm white color of 2,500-3,000K.
+ 10 Ø550mm decorative spherical lights

The 'Illuminating Route to Net Zero' competition, initiated by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, is seeking proposals and contributions of green and sustainable lighting, with a view to building eco-friendly urban spaces in Ho Chi Minh City.
The competition is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre and Signify, with support from the Dutch Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Dutch Business Association in Vietnam.
The contest is open to all Tuoi Tre readers, including students, civil servants, experts, engineers, architects, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and others, both domestically and internationally.
The lighting design for the makeover of Tao Dan Park is SAPULICO’s entry.
