Cloud-based Smarter Cities Software unveiled

IBM has unveiled its new cloud – based software which is expected to help transform city operations to become more efficient to better serve their citizens.

The software includes new capabilities such as infrastructure planning which helps create budget forecasts and unified plans for important capital improvements and water efficiency analytics which enhances performance of city water systems.

It also features the city permitting and event management function which helps correlate activities throughout the city, predict problems and provide various city services.

Besides reducing capital and technology installation costs, the software also applies predictive analytics to help cities budget for capital improvements and improve the efficiency of water utilities.

Recently, Vietnam’s Da Nang City has started using IBM Intelligent Water and IBM Intelligent Transportation in order to improve the service quality and to better serve their citizens and travelers.
