Minister Son spoke highly of the dialogue, expressing his hope that foreign localities and Ho Chi Minh City will continue to unite and step up cooperation in all fields, making positive contributions to the development and prosperity of each country.

After nearly three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economy is entering a recovery phase with many new opportunities as well as myriad difficulties and challenges, the official continued.

Vietnam is willing to work with other countries and partners to promote cooperation and development, especially in economic matters, trade, and investment.

Chairman Mai said that the current development trend of local-level relations is to adapt to the challenges of sustainable development in the context of a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world.

Leaders of other localities believe that cities are playing an increasingly important role in the development of each country and that cooperation between cities will create tools to improve the people's lives.

At the friendship dialogue, Ho Chi Minh City plays the role of a bridge to promote links between localities that are partners of the city.
