Vietnamese State President Vo Van Thuong and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh jointly watched mounted police officers performing martial arts on horseback and other tactical skills during their visit to Vietnam’s Mobile Police High Command in Hanoi on Thursday morning.
The activity was part of the Mongolian leader’s ongoing state visit to Vietnam from Wednesday to Sunday at the invitation of President Thuong.
The visit is made one year before the two nations mark the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
During the five-day visit, President Khurelsukh met with Vietnam's Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Wednesday.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Doan Khanh Tam said the two nations have much potential to beef up cooperation in various fields, such as agriculture, tourism, education and training, science, information technology, digital transition, and oil mining.
The Mongolian president had actively promoted the establishment of the Vietnam-Mongolia relations when he was serving as deputy prime minister and prime minister.
